hey busy bees are you guys tired of the same bland and uninspiring chicken recipes I know I am today I have five unborn how fish go to chicken recipes that’ll keep you wanting more go ahead and give this video a thumbs up and don’t forget to subscribe below for more interesting meal ideas and we’ll go ahead and get started with my first recipe which is a healthier take on the classic orange chicken I like to chicken breasts into a bowl I’ve already cut these into small cubes then I’ll add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch the cornstarch will make our chicken nice and tender I’ll give it a good mix and I’ll let it marinate for about 15 minutes while I work on our sauce so I’m making an orange juice slurry I’m adding 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to half a cup of orange juice and we’ll mix until the cornstarch dissolves then in my medium saucepan I’ll add a drizzle of olive oil then I’ll add 2 cloves of minced garlic 1 teaspoon of minced ginger stir fry it up and let it get nice and fragrant next I’ll add 2 tablespoons of honey this will add a beautiful sweetness 2 tablespoons of soy sauce our slurry and give it a good mix keep it mixing keep it moving and then add 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar this will really bring out the tang it is in our orange juice now I’ll just slowly mix everything until the sauce becomes nice and translucent this is because of the cornstarch see how it’s thickening up once it’s pretty much done I’m gonna add a quarter of a teaspoon of sesame oil to give it a nice Sheen give it another mix and I’ll remove it from heat and now we’re ready to cook our chicken in a large pan I’ll add a generous amount of oil add our chicken and we’ll pan fry it for about 5 to 10 minutes until the chickens cook through the cornstarch will stick to the and but don’t worry once you add the sauce back in it’ll be clays the pan and lift everything up it’ll add extra flavor once it’s pretty much done I’m gonna add the sauce our orange glaze make sure each and every chicken piece is coated give it a quick toss and I like serving my orange chicken in a rice bowl some brown rice and steamed veggies let’s get a generous helping here this makes about four servings garnish it with some sesame seeds and what our two slices of orange and let’s dig in open wide so what’d you guys think of the healthier version of orange chicken I love it in a rice bowl and this would make the perfect meal prep for the week all right next up I have a healthier version of the chicken fingers or chicken nuggets so I have two chicken breasts that I’ve cut into strips now I’m just gonna lightly seasoned it with some kosher salt and it’s really easy guys you just dip the chicken into some hummus I have about a cup of hummus here and I’m using spinach artichoke hummus and then I dunk that peas into some panko and that’s it I’ll work on the rest of the pieces and I’ll just lay them onto a baking sheet and when I’m ready I’ll bake them off in the oven at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes or until they’re golden brown I like to serve these guys with the salad today we’re having caprese mozzarella tomato basil so fresh pears so nicely with this hummus chicken all right let’s show you how crisp it crack it is I’ll take a bite look at the steam you get so many different layers the hummus gives this meal extra protein and it really walks in all the flavor and juices from the chicken mmm all right next up I have something even easier than a sheet pan meal I’m cooking everything in a foil packet we’re making Italian chicken with veggies and a packet I have 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard 2 teaspoons of honey 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning 1 clove of minced garlic 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce this will be our yummy glaze mix it well mix mix mix can’t believe I haven’t said that yet all right now on a baking sheet I’ll lay down a sheet of foil add a raw chicken breast season it with a little bit of salt add whatever veggies you’d like I have green beans carrots potatoes these are my favorite but broccoli zucchinis sweet potatoes those would be good too all right now we’ll add about a tablespoon of that glaze onto the chicken and then grabbing each ends of the foil I’ll just carefully wrap everything to lock in the moisture all right and then just rinse repeat with the next one this sauce will cover about four chicken breasts all right now I’ll just bake it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes now check this out guys check this out look at that oh man it smells so good the chicken is so tender and juicy because all the moisture was locked in during the cooking process and then the potatoes Oh potatoes are my favorite baking everything in this pouch really locks in the flavor to man with this meal you can make several and just eat them heat them up as you go all right the next one is my spin on the tandoori chicken without the clay oven but just as flavorful in a bowl I’ll add half a cup of plain yogurt one teaspoon of freshly minced ginger 1 clove of garlic minced half a teaspoon of paprika 1 teaspoon of turmeric 1 teaspoon of cumin 1 teaspoon of garam masala juice from half a lemon and mix it up all the spices give it such a beautiful color and love this yellow hue now I’ll season two chicken breasts with a little bit of salt you can use chicken thigh if you want to I’ll completely submerge them and I’ll let them marinate for about an hour if you can let them marinate overnight so once you’re ready to cook them just add the chicken breast to a baking sheet covered with foil and pop them in the oven on the rack closest to the heat at 450 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes until they’re nice and charred for me I like serving them on top of brown rice with some green beans I’ll garnish my chicken with some cilantro and I have some raita which is dill yogurt and cucumber to make a cooling sauce [Music] look so yummy it smells incredible I like covering it with a little bit of right there the right to here really cools everything down and the chicken has so much flavor I really really recommend you trying this all right finally this is a very light meal if you guys are feeling like you want something just clean this is my ginger scallion poached chicken I have two chopped scallions that’ll add to a bowl along with one tablespoon of minced ginger a little bit of salt and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil make sure the cooking oil is hot give it a stir and I’ll just let it sit to develop the flavor in a big pot I’ll add two scallions roughly chop about 6 slices of ginger 4 cups of chicken broth let it get hot I’ll bring it to a boil and once it’s boiling I’ll add my chicken breasts in I’ll make sure they’re completely submerged and then I’ll turn the heat down to low and I’ll simmer them flipping them halfway through for about 20 minutes or until they reach 160 degrees this looks good they’re gonna continue cooking even after you take them out I’ll set the chicken aside and then I’m gonna skim off any scum from the broth it’s like I’m like a pool boy cleaning the water okay so to serve I have some rice and I like to top it with some kimchi sliced tomatoes and cucumbers for a fresh crunch and our poached chicken that I’ve already sliced finally I’ll just top our chicken medallions with that ginger scallion sauce and on the side I have a cup of our broth that I’ll garnish with some cilantro and green onions this is such a healthy and comforting meal because we poached our chicken it’s so tender and juicy that’s the name of the game here guys no dry chicken this was my twist on the classic Hainan chicken and I think it turned out pretty well all right guys which chicken dish looked the most delicious   15. Yay for more ways to cook chicken! These all look tasty and the chicken is not dry. I always seem to steer clear of chicken breast because I tend to dry them out when cooking them. I will have to try some of these when I’m off my diet.

  17. Hey Guys!! If your chicken breast is on the larger side, be sure to add a few more minutes to the cooking process. I did mine based on a smaller sized piece, so 15-17 min. worked for me. If it's any larger than that, I recommend going up to 20-22 minutes! Let me know how the recipes worked out for you!!! xx

  19. i made the orange chicken and it was really good i gave a plate of it to my 4 year year old niece the pickiest person ever and she ate it up, although the green beans that i made with it was not as welcomed but over all a really good and delicious recipe.

  22. Last night was the first night of ramadan. I made your scallion and ginger chicken because it seemed like it would be delicious and clean and easy on the stomach. It did NOT disappoint. The chicken was so juicy and so mildly but sufficiently spiced with that scallion and ginger oil. And that broth to go along with it was so comforting. I even did a tomato and cucumber salad and a side of kimchi. You have yet to disappoint me. Im a believer. Thanks so much for all your hard work. It doesnt go unappreciated. Much love, ijlaal.
