Celebrating global disability inclusion at Accenture

My philosophy is of self-acceptance. I was born with a condition
called osteogenesis imperfecta. It impacts the development of bones. My father used to physically carry me
everywhere – right through my childhood, until my initial working days. I developed hearing loss in utero
from ototoxic drug exposure. My mother got malaria
during her pregnancy. I wear a hearing aid in my left ear, but the right ear doesn’t
respond to sound entirely. It’s a constant challenge to be
a better version of our own selves. My journey is unique and my own. I belong to a great culture of
inclusion and diversity at Accenture. When I came to learn about
the root cause of my hearing loss, I was determined to make drug
products in the market safer. My job at Accenture allows
me to do exactly that.
