Hey everyone and welcome back to my channel today I’m sharing some quick and simple
family dinner meal ideas the first is shrimp tacos and macaroni salad I start with an avocado crema.
You’ll need two to three small avocados three cloves of garlic, a lime, cilantro
and a half cup of yogurt or sour cream in a small processor or blender,
first add in the avocados, garlic and yogurt give that a quick blend then add in the cilantro and lime season with salt and pepper and blend again this is the consistency you can make it thinner with water or lime juice – if you’d like to I had the shrimp marinate in cumin, smoked paprika,
coriander, salt and pepper heat a skillet with a little oil on medium high heat,
then start adding in the shrimp try to distribute them evenly they take about one to two minutes on each side at the same time I boiled pasta for my
macaroni salad and sautéed some mixed veggies on a medium-high heat with a little bit of olive oil this is what the shrimp will look like once they’re done then I make a quick sauce for the salad with
mayo, sugar apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper you can find the exact measurements
for these recipes in the description box below I combined the cooked macaroni, veggies and sauce,
but then decided to add a couple squirts of yellow mustard in –
Dijon would be even better this dinner takes less than half an hour to come together and voila, dinner is ready.
Serve with cut cabbage and taco shells of choice and it’s good to go the next dinner recipe is for smash burgers you’ll need your condiments, sliced tomatoes, chopped lettuce and extras like pickles or avocado for the patties you’ll need about a pound of ground beef
– do not use lean some butter, a pan and a metal spatula the secret for a good smash burger is
to loosely pack the beef avoid working it too much in your hands
– leave that for the pan I start by melting some butter in the pan
over medium-high heat once warm season it with salt and pepper and then smash it into the pan with a spatula I let it cook for two to three minutes on
each side and I continue to smash it into the pan this really brings out the flavor then flip the patties season again
and smash down once more then I like to add cheddar to melt on top of each patty other great options are:
American cheese havarti and provolone Time to assemble.
I use brioche buns, then I spread on some mayo add the patties – you can stack them if you want then I layer on some lettuce and some tomatoes zigzag some ketchup and mustard as well My husband loved these
and I serve them with a quick side of Caesar salad “Wow!” you could bake some sweet potato fries or anything This dinner came together in 15 minutes the next family dinner recipe is
sesame chicken and fried rice I start with the batter flour, cornstarch, baking powder, egg whites and water full recipe details are in the description box below 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1/2 cup flour, 2 egg whites, 1 tbsp baking powder 1/2 cup cold water heat some oil over medium-high heat add in your chicken pieces to the batter
and then into the oil once heated they take about five to six minutes
and look like this when they’re ready To prepare the sauce, you’ll need 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 1/2 cup brown sugar , 2 tbsp sesame oil and then make a quick slurry with
1 tbsp cornstarch and 1/3 cup water add the slurry to the sauce and set aside then you’ll wanna mince some ginger and garlic after, in a small sauce pan with a
little bit of oil over medium heat add in the ginger, first until fragrant
then add in the garlic once fragrant as well, pour in the sauce mixture
and let it come to a low boil this is when I add in some
“everything, but the bagel” seasoning for the sesame and onion flavor it’s ready once it coats the back of a spoon –
turn off and set aside then I prepare some chicken fried rice
– this could be a meal on its own start by heating some oil in a skillet at medium-high heat and then add in some cubed chicken pieces
(seasoned with salt and pepper) then add in your vegetables. I went with a simple frozen mix and cook that for two to three minutes at this point add in the steamed
rice and mix in completely then add in a couple dashes of soy sauce
and mix again I push the rice to the side to make space for two eggs which I crack and scramble and then fry into the rice this dinner came together in about half an hour. The fried rice could be a meal on its own
in about 15 minutes the last family dinner idea is lemon butter salmon
with a Greek style salad I start by chopping parsley for the salad and the salmon for the salad, I start by cubing up some cucumbers
– like so then I quarter one pint of cherrytomatoes and cube up one small block of feta cheese for the dressing, I zested one lemon and juice it then add in four tablespoons of olive oil, 1/2 a bunch of the chopped parsley and combined for the butter sauce for the salmon,
I melt some butter and add in three to four cloves of crushed garlic. Give that a mix and then add in the juice of one lemon it’s important to season the salmon with salt and pepper on both sides before placing it into a hot skillet over medium-high heat with a little bit of olive oil leave to sear for at least four to five minutes
then flip to the other side after 2 to 3 minutes on that side, I add the butter sauce and one minute before it’s completely done the parsley they take about 8 to 10 minutes depending on the
thickness of the salmon serve and enjoy,
