  1. Why? Because he looks, talks and has mannerisms of a man from India? Its called acting you idiot!!! If he is portraying a man from India it would not be very convincing otherwise. If someone portrays another race it's racist?? Act like a mushroom and go hide in the dark. That is the only way people like you will never be offended.

  2. Well, he isn't really acting Indian. He's a goofball who is Indian. One could interpret this as making a blanket statement that Indians are all goofballs. Get it?

  3. This is one of my favourite movies. Im half pakistani/half Indian and I love Sellers impersonation. He was a comedic genius

  4. This movie is pure gold. I remember being at work and looking over at a friend of mine who was in another department. He happened to have some important clients standing next to him at the time. He and I were fans of this movie and I couldn't resist. I rang his extension and when he answered I said "Num Num!". He instantly burst out laughing and cursing me at the same time. The looks on the client's faces were priceless! The gag was explained to them and then they all laughed too! Great stuff!

  5. The man is funny and a genius. Don't need to have a couple of people thinking he was racist in the comments below. Get with the times you idiots!

  6. this is one of the greatest comedic performances of all time.. peter sellers was one of the best EVER. this movie is a CLASSIC!

  7. I keep getting "annoying calls" from India claiming there from Microsoft and there is a problem with my PC i let them rabbit on' every few minutes i keep saying Birdie NUM NUM they dont belong hanging up.

  8. After all these years I finally found out it was The Party that I saw as a kid. The birdie num num part cracked me up! Thanks for the upload, even if it's been 4 years ago. =D

  9. This often-overlooked film is in my opinion Peter Sellers at his finest. "The Party" is my favorite Peter Sellers movie.

  10. It's the way he throws a bunch at the cage with that innocent look on his face and none of it goes in that always gets me.

  11. Nothing will ever beat the fine comedy in his wonderful performances in which Peter Sellers gave to the world. An evident of a kind of comedy that stills stands to the test of time

  12. Wonderful wonderful, just a piece of gold, I say Birdy Num Num any chance I get, it's amazing where you can get it in. I also love the cowboy and sticker arrow

  13. The most confusing thing to me is that anybody can find any humor in this scene at all. The Party was mostly wasted film and effort and talent anyway, but this scene in particular is a flat dud.

  14. What's funny is that I was brought here from a NY Times OpEd on "Let's talk about APu" from the Simpsons, complaining about racial insensitivity towards brown people. This scene is hysterical

  15. Peter Sellers was so far ahead of his time! Btw, only white SJWs are offended by the brown face in this movie… Indian people think it's hilarious.

  16. As an aside ——— to one of the ——– if not ——- THE —— funniest movies EVER ——– no sex, no violence, no vulgar language, a movie that you can watch with your kids with nothing inappropriate. I think those days are gone forever.

  17. How can an English actor mimic an Indian so damn well. If this is not genius i don't know what is. Better than Olivier and Caine.

  18. There is nothing at all racist about this performance. It is a simple "fish out of water" premise and any cultural type could have been substituted. Peter Sellers' portrayal is brilliant and Hrundi is shown to be a decent, caring, warm person.

  19. I just realized peter sellers in this movie looked exactly like my grandpa when he was younger hahahah

  20. This part of the movie become part of my family language lol, when ever we feed the birds we say Birdie Num Num
