Ryanair stag party leaves boy, 9, in tears on Ibiza flight

There were reportedly more than 30 men travelling from Edinburgh Airport who worried passengers with their drunken behaviour  It is claimed one man called a cabin crew member a “nonce”. Another had to be stopped by air stewards using a drinks trolley as he tried to “get off” the plane mid-air  They are also believed to have used offensive language, talking about taking d**k pics, and spilled drinks over passengers while a member of the party tried to sit on the lap of a woman    The mum of the boy said: “My son was left in tears. “He was terrified and wondering what these big men would do Children shouldn’t have to sit through that, nobody should. “A couple of elderly people were visibly shaking I’ve never been so disgusted and intimidated in my life.” The mum added: “We first saw them at the airport They were wearing T-shirts with his (the stag’s) name on along with a picture of a man appearing to perform a sext act on another man  “My nine-year-old son asked what the picture was and we just told him it was a funny picture  “At first they just seemed to be having a good time.     “As soon as we stepped on the plane it was obvious they were going to get rowdy I felt sorry for the cabin crew who dealt with the incident very well. “The group was warned over the tannoy before we left the gate that it wasn’t too late for them to be offloaded but they cheered at the announcement They couldn’t care less. “The language being used was disgusting and disgraceful There was no awareness of other passengers. At one point one of the men started hammering on the side of the plane He was punching the wall, I was worried and then he said ‘I’m getting off the plane’  “He walked towards the cabin crew and I thought he was going to open the door. It was horrific and I was terrified The crew pleaded with him to sit down.” Another passenger told how cabin crew stopped him       She said: “His friend said ‘don’t be an idiot’ and cabin crew used the drinks trolley to block him  “He was falling over. He picked a can from the trolley and went back to his seat and just fell asleep ” When the plane landed, passengers were told to remain in their seats while police came onboard  A passenger said: “The police met us when we landed, one of the group thought he would just ignore the instruction and saw his opportunity to get off the plane quickly  “But when he walked down the steps he was met by officers. The rest of his group thought it was hilarious ” Ryanair spokesperson said: “The crew of this flight from Edinburgh to Ibiza (10 July) requested police assistance upon arrival after a number of passengers became disruptive  “The aircraft landed normally and police removed the individuals. The safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority This is now a matter for local police.”
