About the author

  1. Most of the muppet characters that were on Sesame Street have retired. Especially that disgusting salesman who tries to sell you a vowel.

  2. Love this! At age 46, I still sing this song to comfort myself everytime I have an atonic seizure (loss of feeling in legs, while conscious), bcuz by the time I'm done it's over🚍❤️

  3. It doesn’t matter what age you are Sesame Street is for everybody. And also their theme song is timeless. #ForeverInOurHearts

  4. I loved this! I was 11 when SS began, but I loved watching it. Elmo is my absolute favorite! I do a perfect impression of him for my 3 small grandchildren. Elmo makes my heart smile!

  5. R.I.P Carol Spinney aka the puppeteer of Oscar and Big Bird. You will dearly be missed. Thank you for the Sesame Street memories, songs and friends that you met along the way. 💞😭

  6. What’s wrong with Elmo in grouch land it’s the only thing Sesame Street that we can actually see the inside of Oscar’s trash can

  7. ❤❤❤❤
I'm so happy we can watch it! Mister Rogers too! I'll watch it teens will completely zone out on it 😀😀

  8. Tell the sesame street crew for me congratulations on their 50 years of bringing children the smile & joy. I remembered when I was young, they made me feel happy & brought me laughter. But now I'm all grown up 😭 & sadly I had to live life, so I kinda understand how Oscar the Grouch feels from time to time. But I still remember my good times when I watch them, so again, thank you, congratulations, & keep up the good work.

  9. As a child of the 80s, I grew up watching Sesame Street daily, and even now, I occasionally find myself knowing something from having learned it by watching. Several of the songs and skits are still deeply entrenched in my memory. There's a generation of kids who are too stuck in their tablets and tech toys……and are missing out on this absolute gem. RIP Jim Henson and Carroll Spinney. Without them, this beautiful world would not be. 💜💙💜💙

  10. Like because of the childhood! I'm European(Serbia), 49y old. Such a memory, first grade running from school just for watch Kermit and Gonzo!!!!!! 100y more guys

  11. Quite a number of human and Muppet characters that should have been mentioned…

    Kermit the frog
    Mr. Hooper
    Roosevelt Franklin
    Little Chrissy
    Sherlock Hemlock
Olivia (had quite the singing voice)
    Harvey Kneeslapper
Mr. Johnson (Grovers customer at Charlie’s)
    Simon Soundman
    Alice (Snuffys little sister)
    Herbert Birdsfoot
    Placido flamingo

Miles and Gabbie (Who started off as babies on Sesame Street)

  12. I haven't cried in awhile, until the day i heard about Caroll Spinney's passing. It was just like losing a family member.

  13. I got the album and an identical Ernie Puppet on my 3rd Birthday in 1971. Right when we were moving into our new home. I would suck and chew on his nose and left him outside in a secret place for some reason.

  14. Sesame Street is a long time journey and it’s a great thing they’re doing for the children and I didn’t know that jimmy can rap that’s a good freestyle 😂😊
